About Us

Caryl E Lewis founded CELyn in 2017, following 15 years of experience in local government, working in social care, community regeneration and youth services. 

 

Caryl brings hands-on experience of managing teams, leading projects, services and delivering real impact across sectors.

 

Qualifications include MA Change Management, BA Business and Social Policy, Postgrad qualification in Community Development, PRINCE 2 Practitioner, GDPR & Data Protection Practitioner.  

 

Caryl works as an Associate Consultant / Specialist Advisor to the following organisations: Mental Health Foundation Wales, Architectural Heritage Fund, Plunkett Foundation, Development Trust Wales, Institute of Public Care (Oxford Brookes University), Resources 4 Change, Afallen.

Caryl has had various voluntary roles: Chair of Ysgol Llandwrog Governors, Mudiad Meithrin Cymru Voluntary Director, Chair of Cylch Meithrin Llanwnda Committee, Chair of Ysgol Llandwrog PTA.
 

Caryl is one of the founding members of women’s business network – Rhwydwaith Merched Mentrus Môn a Gwynedd.
 

Caryl has three children and spends much of her time volunteering in her own community. She is one of the founding members of Menter Ty’n Llan Cyf, community owned pub in Llandwrog.  
Caryl is the committee chairperson, and led on the campaign to purchase the pub. The committee secured over £4 million in grant funding towards its upgrade and development, creating a thriving sustainable community hub.  


Caryl regularly advocates and talks about rare conditions, visual impairment, children with additional needs and carers rights, based on their own experience as a family.
